Driving to Canada?
When driving into Canada from the United States, do not forget to obtain a "Canada card" from your insurance agent. The Canada Non-Resident Inter-province Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Card is your proof of insurance when requested by Canadian law enforcement officers. T.M. Ryder can provide all of its insured’s a Canada card at no charge. Please note a valid passport will be needed to enter Canada and to return home to the USA.
Texting while Driving
Back in Fall of 2010, Massachusetts passed a “no texting while driving” law. This can range anywhere from $100 for first time offenses to $500 for repeat offenses. This law also includes a ban on all cell phone use for all those under the age of 18.
